KOA’s new high precision resistors are using thick film technology and feature an excellent long term stability. With a T.C.R. down to ±25ppm and a tolerance as low as ±0.1%, the new RS73-series from KOA is ideal for precision designs such as high-accuracy sensing or voltage detection circuits in automotive, industrial and measuring applications, where ESD sensitivity is an issue. The new RS73-series also features an excellent long term stability of ±0.2% and is available in 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1206 inch.

With a T.C.R. down to 5ppm/K and a tolerance as low as 0.05% the RN73H -series is ideal for high precision circuits for automotive, aerospace and other challenging applications.

These thin film resistors have excellent moisture resistance due to an additional inner protective layer.

The RN73H has an ambient temperature rating of +85°C, and a moisture resistance of 0.1% at 85 % RH for 1000 hours at +85°C.

With a T.C.R. down to 5ppm/K and a tolerance as low as 0.05% the RN73R -series is ideal for high-precision circuits in industrial and measuring applications.

This series provides improved electrolytic corrosion resistance and higher stability compared to KOA’s legacy RN73 series which it replaces.

The RN73R has an ambient temperature rating of +85°C, as well as a moisture tolerance of 0.25% at 85% RH for 1000 hours at +85°C.

KOA's SG73P-series has approx. 7 times pulse handling capability compared to standard flat chip resistors.

Due to the special resistance trimming it also allows a higher continuous power rating. This means that existing designs can be ‘powered up’: An SG73P device can be dropped onto the pads of a similar sized conventional part, thus increasing the power capability without changing the PCB layout. Equally in a new design a smaller SG73 device can be used saving valuable PCB space.

KOA's TLRZ-series metal plate zero ohm jumpers allow high currents in very small sizes (0402=10A, 0603=26A, 0805=31.6A, 1206=50A).

These low profile jumpers are ideal for replacing thick film devices in existing designs where these parts are struggling with current capacity, or on redesigns where space is at a premium.

All TLRZ jumpers are AEC-Q200 tested and suitable for high reliability automotive, industrial and all other high current applications, reducing PCB space, or retrofitting existing low current jumpers when needed.

KOA’s wide terminal resistors offer several advantages compared to standard footprints. For example, the 0612inch chip size allows 6 x power rating compared to standard 1206 parts. This saves board space and is possible due to the improved heat dissipation via the solder joints. The larger terminals also enhance terminal strength and the smaller distance between the terminals reduces expansion stress. Finally, the inner resistive pattern is designed to minimize hotspots. These benefits combined, result in superior reliability compared to standard flat chip resistors.

KOA's HV73-series is designed for voltages up to 3 kV (2512 size). The special coating and trimming insulation ensures that higher voltages can be applied at operating temperatures up to +155 °C.

Using high voltage resistors instead of a string of standard parts means that fewer parts are used in voltage detecting circuits and less PCB space is needed.

The HV73V-series is AEC-Q200 tested and suitable for high reliability automotive applications.

KOA's TLR metal plate current sensing resistors are offered in the ultra-low resistance range 0.5mΩ…20mΩ and allow max. sensing currents ranging from 5A to 100A at +110°C terminal temperature.

Special trimming gives the device low inductance and removes any hotspots from the design, leading to a more reliable device.

KOA recommends the sizes 0805 (2A), 1206 (2B) and 2512 (3A) for new designs.

The TLR series also has excellent pulse resistance and high-frequency characteristics, is AEC-Q200 tested and suitable for high reliability automotive applications.
