MIKROE-6860

MIKROE-6860 is a Proximity 23 Click compact add-on board designed for object presence sensing under a wide range of ambient conditions. It is based on the VCNL36826M, a proximity sensor with range up to 200mm from Vishay Semiconductors, which integrates a VCSEL light source, photodiodes, and signal conditioning circuitry into a single CMOS package with 400kHz I2C interface. It also provides high immunity to 940nm red glow interference, intelligent crosstalk cancellation, fast response through a smart persistence scheme, and robust sunlight cancellation up to 100klx, while a programmable interrupt engine with configurable upper and lower thresholds reduces MCU workload and power consumption. The board supports the Click Snap format, allowing the sensing part to be detached and used independently. Proximity 23 Click is ideal for proximity sensing in handheld devices, consumer electronics, and demanding industrial applications.
