DuPont™ polyimide film tape 5419 with silicone adhesive is used for PCB solder masking and other high temperature applications such as wave soldering and protection for bar code labels which are subjected to high temperature. The tape utilises a proprietary technology that features extremely low electrostatic discharge properties at unwind and removal from the PWB.
- Low static polyimide film tape 5419
- Translucent, polyimide film-backed silicone adhesive tape
- Gold tab protection during wave solder of printed circuit boards
- Provides an excellent release surface at elevated temperatures
- Mask for printed circuit boards during wave solder or solder dip process
- Used as release surface in fabrication of parts cured at elevated temperatures
- No rework required, enabling high productivity
- Protects surfaces helping reduce replacement parts
