AD5684 is a nanoDAC+™, low power, quad, 12bit buffered voltage output DAC with SPI interface. This devices includes a gain select pin giving a full-scale output of 2.5V (gain = 1) or 5V (gain = 2). All devices operate from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply, are guaranteed monotonic by design, and exhibit less than 0.1% FSR gain error and 1.5mV offset error performance. It also incorporates a power-on reset circuit and a RSTSEL pin that ensures that the DAC outputs power up to zero scale or midscale and remain at that level until a valid write takes place. Each part contains a per-channel power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device to 4µA at 3V while in power-down mode. Application includes digital gain and offset adjustment, programmable attenuators, process control (PLC I/O cards), industrial automation, data acquisition systems.

- Offset error is +0.1mV typical at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V)

- Gain error is ±0.02% of FSR typical at (VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V, VREF = 2.5V)
- High drive capability 20mA, 0.5V from supply rails
- User selectable gain of 1 or 2 (GAIN pin), reset to zero scale or midscale (RSTSEL pin)
- 1.8V logic compatibility, 50MHz SPI with readback or daisy chain
- Low glitch is 0.5nV-sec typical, low power is 1.8mW at 3V
- 16-Lead LFCSP-WQ package, temperature range from -40°C to +105°C
