AD7685 is a charge redistribution successive approximation, analogue-to-digital converter (ADC). It operates from a single power supply, VDD, between 2.3V to 5.5V. It contains a low power, high speed, an internal conversion clock, and a versatile serial interface port. The part also contains a low noise, wide bandwidth, short aperture delay, track-and-hold circuit. On the CNV rising edge, it samples an analogue input IN+ between 0V to REF with respect to a ground sense IN−. The reference voltage, REF, is applied externally and can be set upto the supply voltage. It is widely used in application such as battery-powered equipment, medical instruments, mobile communications, personal digital assistants (PDAs), data acquisition, instrumentation, process controls etc.

- Daisy-chain multiple ADCs, BUSY indicator
- Integral nonlinearity is ±6LSB max, no missing code is 15bits
- Signal-to-noise ratio (SINAD) is 90dB typ at 20kHz
- THD is −100dB at 20kHz, standby current is 1nA
- Pseudo differential analogue input range 0V to VREF with VREF upto VDD
- No pipeline delay, 1.8V to 5V logic interface
- Proprietary serial interface is SPI-/QSPI™-/MICROWIRE™-/DSPcompatible
- 1.4µW at 2.5V/100SPS, 1.35mW at 2.5V/100 kSPS, 4mW at 5V/100 kSPS
- Operating temperature is −40°C to +85°C, packaging style is 10-lead MSOP
