MAX5805BATB+T

The MAX5805BATB+T is an ultra small, single channel, low power 12bit buffered output voltage DAC with internal reference and I2C interface in 10 pin TDFN package. An internal reference has a software selectable option of 2.048V, 2.5V or 4.096V. A precision external reference input allows rail to rail operation and presents a 100Kohm load to an external reference. On power-up, the MAX5805 reset the DAC outputs to zero, providing additional safety for applications that drive valves or other transducers which need to be off on power-up. It includes a user configurable active-low asynchronous input for additional flexibility. Applications include programmable voltage and current sources, gain and offset adjustment, automatic tuning and optical control, power amplifier control and biasing, process control and servo loops, portable instrumentation and data acquisition.

• I2C compatible, 2-wire interface that operates at clock rates up to 450KHz
• ±1LSB INL buffered voltage output
• Low power consumption of less than 1mW
• Three software selectable power-down output impedances of 1Kohm, 100Kohm or high impedance
• Settling time is 6.3μs
• Output directly drives 2Kohm loads
• Internal reference tempco is 10ppm/°C (typ), 25ppm/°C (max)
• Offset error of ±0.5mV, gain error of ±0.1%FS
• DAC output is buffered and has 155µA low supply current typical at 3.5V and ±0.5mV low offset error
