HFS-5 is the first low-cost economical heat flux sensor on the market. It has minimal thickness while still maintaining excellent sensitivity. The heat flux sensor is flexible enough to be easily attached to round surfaces. Current applications are R&D of heat transfer components, energy efficiency of thermal systems, heat transfer education, wearable technology that detects calorie burn.

- 14.0mV/(W/cm²) nominal sensitivity
- 360micron thickness
- 0.9K/(kW/m²) specific thermal resistivity
- 1.0K/W absolute HFS thermal resistance
- Heat flux range is +/- 150kW/m²
- Temperature range from -50°C to 120°C
- Total sensor dimension is 27mm W x 34mm H
- Sensor area is 9.2cm²
