1EDI3031ASXUMA1 is an EiceDRIVER™ single-channel isolated SiC-MOSFET driver. The EiceDRIVER™ gate driver 1EDI3031AS is a high-voltage SiC-MOSFET driver designed for automotive motor drives above 5kW. The device is based on Infineon’s coreless transformer (CT) technology, providing galvanic insulation between low voltage and high voltage domains. The device features a high output stage of a minimum 12A peak current. A comprehensive feature set allows advanced protection of the device and the power switch, as well as optimized driver performance and robustness. The device features a secondary side active short circuit pin (ASC) to trigger a safe state for PMSM drive applications and a detailed error diagnosis via a PWM signal. A large panel of safety-related functions supports functional safety requirements at the system level as per ISO 26262. Potential applications include traction inverters for HEV and EV, auxiliary inverters for HEV and EV, and high-power DC/DC converters.
