EVALAUDIOMA12040PTOBO1 is an audio evaluation kit using high power efficient digital-input multilevel MERUS™ class D amplifier IC MA12040P. The audio evaluation kit enables the assessment of the MERUS™ digital input multilevel class D amplifier IC 2x40 W (MA12040P) for high-performance filter-less and heatsink-free audio applications. It offers configurable audio channels, digital input format, recommended supply voltage, low output noise level, high dynamic range, and low idle power consumption. It also contains two on-board power supply generators (5V and 3.3V buck-converted) so only one external power supply (PVDD) is necessary. The board can be used for evaluating or demonstrating key features/advantages of the MERUS™ technology: energy efficiency (power losses at typical audio listening levels / Idle power loss), adaptive power management system, minimum output filter components (significant cost and size reduction), THD performance and audio quality.
