MAX485CPA+.

The MAX485CPA+ is a low power RS485/RS422 transceiver in 8 pin DIP package. It has one driver and one receiver. The slew rates of this device is not limited allowing it to transmit up to 2.5Mbps. Driver is short circuit current limited and is protected against excessive power dissipation by thermal shutdown circuitry that places driver outputs into a high impedance state. The receiver input has fail safe feature that guarantees logic high output if input is open circuit. The MAX485 is designed for half duplex applications.
