MAX1485CUB+

MAX1485CUB+ is a software-selectable, transceiver. It contains one driver and one receiver and features a 1/8-unit-load receiver input impedance, allowing up to 256 transceivers on the bus. Drivers are output short-circuit current limited and are protected against excessive power dissipation by thermal-shutdown circuitry that places the driver outputs into a high-impedance state. The receiver input has a failsafe feature that guarantees a logic-high output if the input is an open circuit. Applications include low-power RS-422/RS-485 communications, level translators, hand-held equipment, battery-powered equipment, transceivers for EMI-sensitive applications, and industrial-control local area networks.

• No-load supply current is 300µA typ at active-low RE=GND, DE=VCC, VCC=+5V and TA=+25°C
