The SMAJ54A from Taiwan Semiconductor is a SMAJ series unidirectional surface mount transient voltage suppressor in DO-214AC package. It has low profile package, excellent clamping capability and glass passivated junction. This transient voltage suppressor is ideal for automated placement. The leads are matte tin plated and solderable per JESD22-B102. It also meets JESD 201 class 2 whisker test.
- Fast response time is typically less than 1ps
- Peak forward surge current of 40A (8.3ms single half sine wave super imposed on rated load
- Peak power dissipation of 400W at TA = 25°C, TP = 1ms
- Steady state power dissipation of 1W
- Operating junction temperature range from -55°C to +150°C
- Flammability rating meets UL94 V-0
- Working peak reverse voltage of 54V and maximum reverse leakage current of 1μA at Vrwm
- Breakdown voltage of 60V (minimum), 66.3V (maximum) and test current of 1mA
- Maximum clamping voltage of 87.1V at Ippm and maximum peak pulse surge current of 4.6A
- Maximum instantaneous forward voltage of 3.5V at 25A
