The MAX3243IDB is a RS-232 multichannel Line Driver/Receiver with ±15kV ESD (HBM) protection pin-to-pin (serial-port connection pins, including GND). Flexible power features saves power automatically. Special outputs ROUT2B and INVALID are always enabled to allow checking for ring indicator and valid RS-232 input.
- Single-chip and single-supply interface for IBM PC/AT serial port
- Three drivers and five receivers
- Operates up to 250kbps
- 4 x 0.1μF External capacitors
- Always-active non-inverting receiver output (ROUT2B)
- Serial-mouse driveability
- Auto-power-down feature to disable driver outputs when no valid RS-232 signal is sensed
- Meets or exceeds the requirements of TIA/EIA-232-F and ITU V.28 standard
- 300μA Typical low active current
- 1μA Typical low standby current
- Green product and no Sb/Br
