The 354940-1 from TE Connectivity is a PRO-CRIMPER III hand crimping tool frame without dies. It is designed primarily for field installation, repair, maintenance work and prototyping applications. The tool frame consists of two crimping jaws, an adjustable ratchet, spring actuated handles, two die retaining screws and an emergency ratchet release. The slotted design of tool jaws permits easy installation and removal of dies. The adjustable ratchet allows handle pressure to be set for optimum die performance. This hand tool combines versatility of general purpose service tools with reliability and ease of use of many premium grade tools. The precision design and manufacturing techniques that go into this tool ensure reliable and repeatable performance. The new handles and head design result in increased usable lifecycle. The 354940-1 is used with AMP modular plug connectors.
