AD605 is a low noise, accurate, dual-channel, linear-in-dB variable gain amplifier(VGA), optimized for any application requiring high performance, wide bandwidth variable gain control. Typical application includes ultrasound and sonar time-gain controls, high performance AGC systems and signal measurement.

• 2 independent linear-in-dB channels
• Input noise at maximum gain: 1.8nV/√Hz, 2.7pA/√Hz and bandwidth: 40MHz (−3dB)
• Differential input, drives ADCs directly and stable gain with temperature and supply variations
• Absolute gain range programmable −14dB to +34dB (FBK shorted to OUT) through 0dB to 48dB (FBK open)
• Single-ended unipolar gain control
• Single 5V supply and low power of 90mW/channel
• Variable gain scaling of 20dB/V through 40dB/V
• Output common mode independently set and power shutdown at lower end of gain control
• 16 lead NSOIC package
• Operating temperature range from -40 to 85°C
