AD7677 is a 16bit, 1MSPS, charge redistribution SAR, fully differential, analogue-to-digital converter that operates from a single 5V power supply. The part contains a high speed 16bit sampling ADC, an internal conversion clock, error correction circuits, and both serial and parallel system interface ports. This hardware factory calibrated and comprehensively tested to ensure such AC parameters as signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and total harmonic distortion (THD), in addition to the more traditional DC parameters of gain, offset, and linearity. It features a very high sampling rate mode (Warp); a fast mode (normal) for asynchronous conversion rate applications; and, for low power applications, a reduced power mode (impulse) where the power is scaled with the throughput. Application includes CT scanners, data acquisition, instrumentation, spectrum analysis, medical instruments, battery-powered systems, and process control.

- Operating input voltage range from –0.1 to +3V (VIN+, VIN– to AGND, -40°C to +85°C, AVDD=DVDD=5V)
- Typical total harmonic distortion is -110dB (fIN=45KHz, -40 to +85°C)
- Both AC and DC specifications, no pipeline delay
- Typical power dissipation is 87mW (666kSPS throughput, in impulse mode, -40 to +85°C)
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to +85°C
