ADW71205WSTZ is a complete 12bit resolution tracking resolver-to-digital converter that contains an on-board programmable sinusoidal oscillator providing sine wave excitation for resolvers. Typical application includes automotive motion sensing and control hybrid-electric vehicles, electric power steering, integrated starter generator/alternator, industrial motor control and process control.

• Complete monolithic resolver-to-digital converter (RDC), 4KV ESD protection
• Qualified for automotive applications
• System fault detection and parallel and serial 12bit data ports
• ±22 arc minutes of accuracy
• Input signal range from 3.15V p-p ±27% and single-supply operation (5V ±5%)
• Absolute position and velocity outputs
• 1250rps maximum tracking rate, 12bit resolution
• Incremental encoder emulation (1024 pulses/rev)
• Programmable sinusoidal oscillator on board −40°C to +125°C temperature rating 44-lead LQFP
• 44-lead LQFP package, operating ambient temperature range from -40 to 125°C
