LTC6992-2 is a TimerBlox silicon oscillator with an easy-to-use analogue voltage controlled pulse width modulator (PWM). It is part of the TimerBlox® family of versatile silicon timing devices. A single resistor, RSET, programs the LTC6992’s internal oscillator frequency. The output frequency is determined by this oscillator and an internal frequency divider, NDIV, programmable to eight settings from 1 to 16384. Applying a voltage between 0V and 1V on the MOD pin sets the duty cycle. The four versions differ in their minimum/maximum duty cycle. Note that a minimum duty cycle limit of 0% or maximum duty cycle limit of 100% allows oscillations to stop at the extreme duty cycle settings. Application includes PWM servo loops, heater control, LED dimming control, High Vibration, high acceleration environments, portable and battery-powered equipment.

- 1.95V maximum power-on reset voltage (TA = 25°C)
- 365µA typical supply current (RL = ∞, RSET = 50k, NDIV = 1, V+ = 5.5V)
- Typical output current is ±20mA (V+ = 2.7V to 5.5V, TA = 25°C)
- 6 lead plastic TSOT-23 package, operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C
