MAX7328AWE+

MAX7328AWE+ is an I²C port expander with eight I/O ports. This 2-wire serial-interfaced peripheral with eight I/O ports. Any port can be used as a logic input or an open-drain output. All input ports are continuously monitored for state changes (transition detection). Transitions are alerted through the open-drain, 5.5V-tolerant active-low INT output. It is used in applications such as raid, servers, notebooks, industrial.

• 100KHz, 5.5V-tolerant, I²C-compatible serial interface
• Operating supply voltage range from 2.5V to 5.5V
• I²C bus-to-parallel-port expander, open-drain interrupt output active-low INT
• Latched outputs with high-current-drive capability for directly driving LEDs
• 8-bit remote I/O port for the I²C bus, power-on reset voltage is 1.3V typical
• Supply current (interface running) is 40µA typ at (fSCL = 100KHz, other digital inputs at V+ or GND)
• Standby current (interface idle) is 1µA typ at (SCL, SDA, and other digital inputs at V+ or GND)
• Input capacitance (SDA, SCL, AD0, AD1, AD2) is 7pF maximum at (V+ = 5V, TA = +25°C)
• Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
• 16-pin wide SO package
