HEDS-5500#A06

The HEDS-5500#A06 from Avago Technologies is a high performance, low cost, two channel optical incremental encoder. These encoders emphasize high reliability, high resolution and easy assembly. The encoder contains a lensed LED source, an integrated circuit with detectors, output circuitry and a codewheel which rotates between the emitter and detector IC. Typical applications include printers, plotters, tape drives, positioning, tables and automatic handlers.
