AFBR-0545Z

AFBR-0545Z is a media converter kit for the AFBR-5972Z fibre optic transceiver. AFBR-5972Z transceiver module enables system designers to implement a 100Mb/s fast Ethernet data link over standard plastic optical fibre (POF). The AFBR-0545Z Media Converter Kit allows a system designer to quickly evaluate AFBR-5972Z transceiver module performance. The two boards in the Kit provide an easy solution to convert CAT-5 Ethernet to plastic optical fibre and back again. This allows an evaluation of Ethernet running over up to 50 meters of plastic optical fibre. The transceiver module can be connected with Broadcom Versatile Link connectors (AFBR-4526Z). Typical applications include motion control-industrial motor (AC 200V class).
