TL431ASA-7 is a three terminal adjustable shunt regulator. It offers excellent temperature stability and output current handling capability up to 100mA. The output voltage may be set to any chosen voltage between 2.5 and 36volts by selection of two external divider resistors. The device can be used as a replacement for Zener diodes in many applications requiring an improvement in Zener performance. Typical applications include opto-coupler linearisers, shunt regulators, improved Zener, variable reference.
- Low output noise
- 0.2ohm typical output impedance
- Adjustable output voltage: VREF to 36V
- Reference voltage tolerance at 25°C is 2.495V ±1.0%
- Cathode voltage is 36V
- Cathode current is 100mA maximum
- Off-state current is 0.05µA typ at VKA=36V, VREF=0V, TA=+25°C
- Reference input current is 1µA typ at IKA=10mA, R1=10kohm, R2=∞, TA=+25°C
- SOT23 package
- Operating ambient temperature range from -40 to 125°C
