The Video Ground Loop Isolator is a passive device that can reduce Ground Loop Interference with composite video signals. It is used in situations where video signals are being transmitted between points with different ground potentials. Unbalanced power line loads typically cause differences in ground potentials. This should be installed where cable runs between/within buildings are fed from different power sources. It must be installed at the camera end of the circuit. All cameras powered from such power sources must be fitted with Ground Loop Isolators to prevent ground loops.
