The 60/60000332 is a surface-mounting Thermostat with rigid stem. It controls and monitors thermal processes. It operates on the principle of liquid expansion, with a micro-switch serving as the electrical switching device. When the temperature at the probe exceeds the set limit, the micro-switch is operated through the mechanism and the circuit is opened or closed. The switching function of this thermostat follows when the temperature has fallen below the set limit (by the switching differential), the micro-switch returns to its initial position. When the temperature at the probe exceeds the set limit, the circuit is opened and the micro-switch is locked out mechanically. After the temperature has dropped below the safe temperature limit by about 10% of span, the micro-switch can be reset manually.
