RX8147

The RX8147 is an Ergo® tapered and relieved head Diagonal Cutter with ESD safe handle. The holding pliers is used on the toughest, most forceful applications from removing plate steel retaining pins on an oil derrick to the most sensitive and sterile of environments such as surgery. This is because pliers represent the functional expression of replicating and increasing the capabilities of the human hand across many dimensions, particularly of the thumb and adjoining finger, in terms of force and precision. The tapered and relieved head style is the smallest of the standard cutting heads available. Not only does it taper on both sides, but also the underside is cut away, allowing the operator to gain access into some difficult areas. Although this provides an obvious advantage, this head style does have a slightly reduced cutting range.
