The SMBJ5.0CA is a surface mount bidirectional Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) Diode with matte tin-plated leads and a molded plastic body. The SMBJ series TVS is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. The TVS device is ideal for the protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus and other vulnerable circuits used in telecom.
