HEF4093BT,653 is a quad two input NAND Schmitt trigger. Inputs include clamp diodes. This enables the use of current limiting resistors to interface inputs to voltages in excess of VDD. Schmitt trigger inputs transform slowly changing input signals into sharply defined jitter-free output signals. Typical applications include wave and pulse shapers, astable multivibrators and monostable multivibrators.
