The FRDM-K22F is the second Freedom board featuring a Kinetis K Next-Generation MCU (after the FRDM-K64F). It is targeting USB applications with a high-level of integration thanks to the crystal-less feature of its new USB controller (48MHz external crystal saved on the BOM cost) and the lower-power capabilities of this new generation of ARM Cortex-M4 MCUs. The FRDM-K22F is based on a Kinetis MK22

- Easy access to MCU I/O
- Form factor compatible with Arduino™ R3 pin layout
