The PFS7525L is a HiperPFS-3 family PFC controller in 16 pin eSIP package. The HiperPFS-3 device incorporates a continuous conduction mode boost PFC controller, gate driver, ultra-low reverse recovery (Qspeed) diode and high-voltage power MOSFET in a single, low-profile power package. HiperPFS-3 device eliminates the PFC converter's need for external current sense resistors and the associated power loss and use an innovative control technique that adjusts the switching frequency over output load, input line voltage and even input line cycle. This control technique maximizes efficiency over the entire load range of the converter, particularly at light loads. It uses advanced digital techniques for line monitoring functions, line feed-forward scaling and power factor enhancement while using analogue techniques for core controller in order to maintain extremely low no-load power consumption. It is used in PCs, LCD TVs, notebooks, appliances, pumps, motors, fans, printers and LED lighting.
- Supply voltage range from 10.2V to 15V, operating current is 0.88mA
- 95% efficiency from 10% load to full load, 60mW no-load consumption at 230VAC
- Maximum continuous o/p power at 90VAC is 185W, peak o/p power is 205W for universal input device
- Programmable power good (PG) signal, frequency adjusted over line voltage and each line cycle
- User selectable power limit
- Integrated non-linear amplifier for fast output OV and UV protection and transient response
- Digital line peak detection provides robust performance even with distorted i/p voltage from UPS
- Digital power factor enhancer compensates for EMI filter and bridge distortion, PF >0.92 at 20% load
- UVLO, UV, OV, OTP, brown-in/out, cycle-by-cycle current limit &power limit for overload protection
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 150°C
