SIWX917-EB4346A is a Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth LE Co-processor EXP expansion kit. It is the best and fastest way to explore the capabilities of the SiWx917 in network co-processor (NCP) or radio co-processor (RCP) modes of operation. The EXP expansion kit comprises BRD4336A radio board and a BRD8045A adapter board. The adapter board includes built-in EXP connector that supports SPI and SDIO to connect to silicon labs EFR SoC hosts. It also includes an EXP-to-SD card accessory board to extend compatibility with 3rd party MCU or MPU host platform’s SDIO connection. Open-source Linux drivers are available for RCP mode. For NCP mode, a variety of examples using SPI, UART or SDIO for RTOS or bare-metal platforms are available, to offer the broadest possible choice of external host processors. The expansion kit provides all the necessary tools for developing high-volume, scalable, ultra-low-power Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth LE 5.4 wireless IoT solutions in conjunction with an external host.
